After 142 days in Europe, it is now time for us to return home to Canada. As we fly out of these snow-capped mountains peaks in Switzerland, we are thinking about how our return will be bittersweet. On the one hand, we are so happy to know that in a few hours we’ll be back home with our family and friends. On the other hand, we will miss the anticipation of waking up each morning and venturing into a new experience. Each destination has given us an education on how other cultures view the world and how they go about their daily life. We’ve been so fortunate these past few months to have learned so much from them.
Come visit Lucerne through our lens.
We are on top of the world!
In order for us to fit in, in Ljubljana, we needed to do some biking…and that was just fine by us!
Okay, so maybe we were not really, really on our honeymoon… but it was okay for us to pretend, wasn’t it! 😍
Come along for a ride, as we visit a few hilltop towns and eat truffles in central Istria.
Poreč became a good choice for us to spend another several days in Istria. It was an ideal base for us to explore a few hill towns in the more central part of Istria.
You definitely see some similarities in Poreč to the Italian/Venetian architecture and vibe. You hear Italian here as often as you hear Croatian. Continue reading “Poreč , Istria.”
As we are roaming the streets of Venice, and thinking fondly of a past time, I am so grateful to be sharing this day with the same special person that I shared it with 30 years ago! 😊❤️
If you’re a romantic, then consider visiting Rovinj. ❤️
The curse of travelling for this length of time is that you don’t always have time to properly look into all the destinations you are about to visit. Split on the Croatian Coast was one of those places. But, that was okay because after 103 days on the road, Split became the perfect place to simply veg out, take a dip and enjoy the sun!
