We are heading home enriched by our experience.

After 142 days in Europe, it is now time for us to return home to Canada. As we fly out of these snow-capped mountains peaks in Switzerland, we are thinking about how our return will be bittersweet. On the one hand, we are so happy to know that in a few hours we’ll be back home with our family and friends. On the other hand, we will miss the anticipation of waking up each morning and venturing into a new experience. Each destination has given us an education on how other cultures view the world and how they go about their daily life. We’ve been so fortunate these past few months to have learned so much from them.

Zurich – September 2017

Since we were flying into Zurich to start our 3 week trip of Alsace & Burgundy we decided to spend three days visiting this city. We stayed in an Airbnb apartment that was not too far from the main train station. Its location was on the 2nd floor of the building. This superhost rated appartement was very clean and modern. We did not get to meet the hostess, Christine, but she was always responding promptly to our messages and the self-serve check-in was very easy to do. Before leaving Canada as we were looking for accommodations in Zurich it became apparent that this was not a cheap city to visit, so we were happy to have found this place in a good location for a decent price. Below is a photo that was taken on the little patio of the apartment. Always nice when these apartments the option of a patio included.
