After 142 days in Europe, it is now time for us to return to Canada. As we fly out of these snow-capped mountains peaks in Switzerland, we are thinking about how this take-off is bittersweet. On the one hand, we are so happy to know that in a few hours we’ll be back home with our family and friends, but yet, on the other hand, we will miss the anticipation of waking up each morning and venturing out to discover some new place. Each destination has given us an education on how other cultures experience life, and we have been so fortunate to have learned from them.

Poreč became a good choice for us to spend another several days in Istria. It was an ideal base for us to explore a few hill towns in the more central part of Istria.
You definitely see some similarities in Poreč to the Italian/Venetian architecture and vibe. You hear Italian here as often as you hear Croatian. Continue reading “Poreč , Istria.”
As we are roaming the streets of Venice and thinking fondly of a past time, I am so grateful to be sharing this day with the same special person that I shared it with 30 years ago! 😊❤️
If you’re a romantic, then consider visiting Rovinj. ❤️
